I am a Visiting Fellow in Linguistics at the College of Asia and Pacific (formerly RSPAS) and spend my time between Canberra, Australia and Santa Cruz, California. My research interests center on morphosyntax, focussing on case marking and valence-changing operations in the argument structure. I also work on linguistic tone, especially contour tones in Chinese: acoustics and perceptual salience.
